Erik Ten Hag Breaks Silence on Cristiano Ronaldo’s Criticism

Erik ten Hag reacts to scathing Cristiano Ronaldo comments about Manchester United boss.

It comes after CR7 passed judgment on Erik's tactics, stating earlier this week that the club has to "rebuild everything" or it will be difficult for them to win trophies.

He left Man United for Real Madrid in 2009 after his greatest achievement, which marked a milestone of being the world's most followed celebrity.

Speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, he said: "Manchester United coach - you can't say 'I'm not going to work for winning the (Premier) League or Champions League'. It would help if you were like, 'OK, in my thoughts, this is not the case, but I won't say that. We're going to try.' You have to try."

Speaking on Thursday, Erik conceded that while the club had lost a fair bit of time in their pursuit of success, he is confident they will quickly recover ground.

Speaking to Dutch outlet AD Sportwereld in a candid interview, when asked about Van Gaal, Aartsen replied: "So far from Manchester. Everyone is welcome to have a viewpoint. It's OK."

The last two games of MU: lost 2–1 at Brighton and 0-3 vs. Liverpool (home).
