'Increasingly dreadful conditions' face Rohingya refugees in camps in Bangladesh

The camps in Bangladesh are not providing good treatment to the Rohingya refugees.

According to Human Rights Watch, armed organisations and criminal gangs are increasing the violence against around one million Rohingya refugees, who are living in appalling conditions in the Cox's Bazar camps in Bangladesh.

The Rohingya Solidarity Organisation and Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army have been involved in killings, kidnappings, extortion, robberies, and forced recruitment; in August alone, there have been reports of significant violence.

Notably, the Global Rights organisation stated that the Bangladeshi government has neither assisted or guaranteed refugees' access to safety, a means of subsistence, education, and freedom of movement.

After numerous unsuccessful attempts, Prof. Muhammad Yunus, the interim chief advisor to the Bangladeshi government, declared, "I will continue to to support the million-plus Rohingyas sheltered in Bangladesh."

However, Md. Touhid Hossain, the foreign advisor, stated that they are now unable to take in any more refugees.

The nation's infrequent period of political unrest has increased bloodshed and increased unpredictability in the future.
