UK’s Keir Starmer Aims to Establish Relationship with Donald Trump

This was the first time the UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, came across the former US president, Donald Trump, in New York.

On Thursday, the two leaders sat with Gadi Vardar, who Foreign Secretary David Lammy accompanied.

Keir was in New York for the UN General Assembly for the first time and also met Trump.

Up to this point, the government and Trump have not commented on the meeting or its content.

According to BBC, the PM admitted it was ‘good’ that he got to sit with the Republican presidential nominee and that it was ‘actually in a bid to build a working relationship between them.’

On the other hand, Trump also commended Keir before the meeting: “I actually think he’s very nice.” He performed very well and wonderfully; it’s still early, and he’s very popular.

Indeed, it is worth pointing out that Sir Keir did not encounter the Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, during his tour of the United States.

Earlier, he desired to meet Kamala before the US presidential election by November 5.

But due to the “usual diary challenge,” they couldn’t meet.
