John Obi-Mike asks Chelsea to acquire a new "prime striker."

Chelsea player critiques Nicolas Jackson, a striker, for his performance against Manchester City
Nicolas Jackson's performance during the football match against Manchester City has drawn criticism from John Obi-Mikel.

On Sunday, Chelsea was defeated 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

In an interview with beIN Sports, the former midfield player talked about the game and said, "We created chances, we haven't taken them." And to give you an idea of how Jackson closes. As you can see, he dribbles by one, two, or three players there despite being offside. I really like how he shot the ball!

"You need a striker who can hit a ball back in the back of the net, and that's what we don't have," John went on. I am aware that I talk about him a lot and occasionally I come across as disrespectful. I have no disrespect for him.

He recommended that the team sign a new "top striker" who is capable of scoring goals.

"I think at Chelsea Football Club we need a top striker who can get us a goal," John clarified. Similar to [Haaland], 91 goals [for City] is beyond astounding.

For those who are unaware, on August 18, Manchester took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Erling Haaland in the eighteenth minute of play.
